1983 Fender Stratocaster

1983 Fender Stratocaster

This early 80’s Fender Stratocaster reflected the changes that Fender Corporation was going through post-CBS.  Cost savings by Fender changed the classic Strat to this two-knob, bolt-on neck design with revamped (free flyte) vibrato bridge. This guitar has a jack mounted on the pick guard at a right angle in place of the third knob. These changes were not well received by musicians. It was a limited run for less than a year and a half. Very few hit the market. This is a difficult to find guitar for a collector. However, not considered Fender’s finest hour. This black body Fender is in excellent shape. No major scratches, dings, or breaks. Sounds great! Plays like a Strat! Includes original case.
