Double sharp cut-away mahogany body. Layered black pick guard. One-piece mahogany neck. Bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl trapezoid inlay. Tune-o-matic bridge. Gibson vibrato. Brushed nickle hardware. Tuners were changed to grovers in the 1970’s. All other parts are original. Lyra design on the vibrato makes this the classic SG standard. No breaks. Original frets. Limited scratches. Limited checking. Few small dings on back. Some small nicks on the front of headstock. This 1964 SG standard has the long, lean neck…. full access to all the frets. These style guitars were used by many famous musicians including Eric Clapton and The Doors. Original case. This guitar will take you back to your youth.
